David Bridie is an Australian singer/songwriter and winner of seven ARIA (Australian Record Industry Awards) awards. A founding member and songwriter of critically acclaimed musical groups Not Drowning Waving and My Friend The Chocolate Cake. In 2002 released his first solo album “Act of Free Choice”.
Bridie has a passion for Melanesian life, music and history. He has worked closely with many Melanesian music artists including the West Papuan string band Black Paradise producing their “Spirit Of Mambesak” cds.
